Successful Treatment Begins with an Accurate Diagnosis

Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective emergency care. Our Palm Coast veterinary emergency hospital offers basic diagnostics, such as:

  • Bloodwork (CBC, I-stat, clotting tests)
  • Urinalysis and fecal testing
  • Digital x-rays with radiologist interpretation
  • Cytology (ear infections, skin lesions, needle aspirates)

Future Animal Diagnostic Capabilities

When our building is complete, we will also be able to provide:

  • CT scan
  • Colonoscopy – Similar to endoscopy, but examining the large intestine (colon) and rectum
  • Endoscopy – Using a minimally invasive procedure to examine the upper digestive system with a tiny camera on the end of a long, flexible tube
  • Echocardiography – An ultrasound of the heart
  • Electrocardiography – A test that measures the electrical activity of the heartbeat
  • Fluoroscopy – A “movie” version of an HDVI
  • High-Definition Volumetric Imaging (HDVI) – A sophisticated system that takes incredibly detailed 3-dimensional images
  • Ultrasonography – A non-invasive technology using sound waves to produce pictures of internal organs and systems

All these technologies allow our team to identify problems quickly and begin treatment without unnecessary delay.
